Our history
​
The name "Dungeness Gourmet" comes from a genealogical research conducted by our founder on her family's history.
​
While looking for information about her German great-great-grandfather, she learned that after arriving in Chile he became captain of the Merchant Navy, and years later was appointed the first guardian of the Punta Dungeness Lighthouse in 1899-1900.
​
The Punta Dungeness Lighthouse is located at the southernmost point of the Atlantic coast of the continental area of America, representing the Chilean border of the Strait of Magellan, and the bi-oceanic boundary between the Pacific and Atlantic oceans.

As happens with many entrepreneurs, the idea of ​​starting this company came partly from a great passion for cooking and partly from job exhaustion and the need for a change.
​
"I was feeling stressed at work and took a few days off. Cooking has always made me feel good - it relaxes me and makes me happy. I found oranges and kiwis in the refrigerator and started cooking." And so the first flavor of Dungeness Gourmet jams was born: Orange & Kiwi.
What we do

We design products that help create fancy and easy gourmet experiences.
Our product portfolio currently includes 17 unusual and exotic specialty jams and jellies, with flavors that go from mild & floral - perfect for pastries, desserts and cocktails- to hot & spicy - perfect match to cheese and charcuterie boards, meats, sandwiches and even shrimps and calamari.
In some of them, the experience goes beyond the perfect balance of flavors: you can actually taste different flavors in stages.
We take pride in the process we use to create each of our products: we work in small batches, focusing on providing the highest quality and the finest details that will make our customers' experience unforgettable.
